Fix Your Envy with More Green

There’s so many different shades of green. When using it while decorating, it all depends on the kind of green you really love. Are you feeling the slightly moody, jeweled tone? Or are you feeling the springy, light-hued color that is found outside? No matter what shade of green you choose to surround yourself with you have plenty of options from which to choose. It’s fresh, and is definitely not boring.

Emerald City

What shade screams luxury? Quick answer: emerald. And you don’t have to leave your home to enjoy luxury! And if you feel like really committing to this shade then pair it with rich colors like gold and black, or an interesting pattern.

Unexpectedly Clashing Greens

You may be at a point where you’re confused. What colors “go” with green? Luckily, the answer is easy: pretty much every color, ever. It is all around us. Anything that occurs in nature is natural with green. So, of course the obvious answers are blue. Brown. Black. But think about flowers. There’s every color of flower that you can even imagine in your mind. So, pair that green with bright pink. Orange. And even flowered prints.

                                  Light Greens

Green isn’t all shades of pine tree green or tropical leaves. It’s also celery, and lime. And don’t forget about pastel, either. These light greens can liven up your room, even as simply as placing arrangements of plants on tables or shelves.

Tropical Greens

When many people think of the color they think of the lush foliage of the jungle, or a dense forest. Are you one of them? If so, then you may be drawn to the darker, tropical shades. Not only can you decorate with these shades of green, but you can also make use of tropical patterns in the wallpaper, or the fabric.

The Greens in the Details

Like green, but don’t want to be immersed? Use accents in a white or gray room. It can come in the form of accent paint, pillows, mirrors, or other chosen home details, in different shades.

How are you feeling about green? Would you do the immersion technique or are you partial to the small dose of details? Let us know in the comments below!
